We have lots of events and activities for Grassmarket Community Project (GCP) members to get involved in!

Arthurs seat walk – Saturday 22nd August 11am

Join us on Saturday 22nd August at 11am for a guided walk around Arthurs seat with local scientist Isla, who will explain how Arthur’s seat was formed, provide lots of interesting geological facts and answer any questions you might have about our local volcano!

We will be meeting at the Commonwealth Pool at 11am – contact Graham from GCP to confirm your attendance.

From Science Chats @ Grassmarket, we want to bring science to your doorstep. This is why we have created the Science Chats @ Grassmarket packages available to all GCP members. We have now moved our sessions online.

We are holding them every Monday evening at 6pm using Zoom. These events are exclusive to Grassmarket Community Project (GCP) members, please contact the GCP for the zoom log in details.


We have also started a weekly video podcast series where the hosts discuss a recent science article from the news. The videos are pre-recorded and uploaded to YouTube on Thursday for you watch in your own time. Feel free to leave comments and opinions on these videos.
